Services of Peel and Distress Centre of Peel are working together
to stop elder abuse in The Region of Peel.
The
Peel Elder Abuse Program is aimed at eliminating the exploitation,
abuse and assault that exists against the elderly members of our
community in The Region of Peel.
Family
Services of Peel and Distress Centre Peel have joined together to
inform and provide community outreach through education, supports
and services to individuals seeking information in regards to elder
abuse.
Family
Services of Peel and Distress Centre of Peel, through their partnering
arrangements, will provide one to one support, advocacy, referrals
to community appropriate agencies (e.g. legal, medical, social affiliations,
etc.) and counseling for those who identify any form of exploitation
in their lives. Please contact us where you might suspect any form
of elder abuse.
Family
Services of Peel and Distress Centre of Peel are proud members of
The Peel Elder Abuse Network. The Peel Elder Abuse Network is an
alliance of approximately 23 agencies that are committed to eliminating
abuse towards the elderly as well as a commitment to eliminating
all forms of abuse against the valued members of our community.
